Inspecting the Steeple

On May 17, 2001, restoration architect Corrie deBoer (left) and structural engineer Wil Yoder, both of Providence, discuss the steeple's state of disrepair after examining it in from the platform of a hydraulic lift on the truck in background. Steeple Task Force chair Coles Mallory stands at right. On the ground is a portion of the fiberglass and metal reinforcing structure that was installed around the steeple that afternoon.
