Channing Music Series
2005-2006
Channing Memorial Church (Unitarian Universalist) is pleased to announce the return of its acclaimed Music Series for 2005-2006.
Over twenty years ago, Newport delighted to the sounds of artists like Odetta, Noel Paul Stookey, Paul Winter, and others during the heydey of what came to be known as the Channing Music Series. Whether celebraing our diverse musical heritage, sounding the call for social justice, or just plain having fun together, the artists and performers of the Channing Music Series raised the spirits, moved the conscience and provided lively family entertainment for our friends and neighbors in the Newport community.
Two decades later, in keeping with the spirit of that time, a new and revitalized Channing Music Series is being reborn, representing a resurgence of, and a rededication to, those ideas and values. We invite you to come join with us in the celebration!
