From: Fellowship Committee meeting of Jan. 8, 2007

The desire for growth was unanimous among those attending the meeting: Connie Greene, Lissa Fernandez, Ruth Jernigan, Betsy Leerssen, Susan Merriam, Anna Smith, Jake Smith.

Talking point development:

• We recognize that growth would increase the demands on the Fellowship Committee (possibility of 2 services).
• We would need increased space, furnishings.
• We would need dedicated space, not shared with a tenant.
• In the current space, we would need to take down room partitions to better accommodate functions.
• We would remodel the kitchen to include additional dishwasher, etc.
• We recommend careful investigation of the plans made by recent past presidents on alternative use of existing space. (See the 2005 Presidents' Task Force Report)
• We would continue recognizing that the management of fellowship is continually evolving and adapting to the changes in our congregation and the structures provided for our use.

Talking point: The Fellowship Committee fosters opportunities for members and friends to gather at social functions to enhance community and friendships.
