Ten Years Ago Scenario:

1. There was no SJ committee as such
2. Actions by Individuals who took it upon themselves to make a project happen
3. Holdover SJ Comm. from 30 years ago
4. SJ not active leader in community
5. Disaster driven, e.g. 9/11 response
6. Same small group or individuals on multiple committees
7. RE Committee did SJ stuff
8. No budget
9. No social outreach in community
10. Combine outreach programs programs with other churches.

Today's Social Justice Scenario:

1. Lack facilities for outreach
2. Lack equipment e.g. projectors and A/V stuff
3. Work with other churches
4. Focused effort/theme such as global warming
5. No funds available
6. We can do more with present resources
7. We should apply for grants
8. Sustainability
9. Do more diversity.

Ten Years In the Future Scenario:

1. Need more resosurces in the way of space, money, staff
2. SJ is involved throughout the Channing
3. Hire SJ director
4. Move involvement in the community and world
5. SJ center of church activities
6. Greater diversity members and projects
7. Current facilities are too small
8. Channing will be an inviting campus which in 2006 it was not.
9. Sustainable facility.
